Job description

Position Summary

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining borrowing relationships. This position involves developing new and existing business through calling programs and cross-selling bank services. Key responsibilities include maintaining loan quality, generating fee income, and approving loans within authority. The Relationship Manager also manages their current loan portfolio and reports to the Market President; an RM I may report to an RM II if designated by the Market President.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Develop new business and prospects through referrals, calls, and community involvement.
  2. Analyze customers’ financial data, structure, and negotiate credit transactions; perform ongoing credit management.
  3. Service existing customer relationships to maximize profitability.
  4. Pursue repayment of loans and contact customers with past due or overdrawn accounts.
  5. Detect problem loans early and generate reports for management.
  6. Assist other business lines with development efforts.
  7. Support leadership in managing Commercial PMs and RMs, including serving as a resource and trainer/coach, as determined by the Commercial Market President.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 2 years of banking, finance, or sales experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months credit analysis experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong sales and customer service skills.
Abilities
  • Generate revenue at Level I (10/5/5) and Level II (20/10/10).
  • Analyze and interpret numerical data.
  • Solve complex problems and make decisions based on extensive knowledge.
  • Make independent decisions within loan policy parameters.
  • Develop new procedures and approaches.
  • Work effectively under time pressure.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. The role may include bonuses or incentives.
