Job summary

CoolSys is hiring a Refrigeration Service Technician to support our HVAC and refrigeration systems across customer sites in the Corpus Christi area. The role emphasizes timely repairs, efficiency, and safety in performing routine maintenance and complex overhauls.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, EPA certification, and 3–4 years of commercial refrigeration experience. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 60 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA refrigeration certification required.
• Minimum 3–4 years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Experience with convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and be able to stand or sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repairing and overhauling refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment.
• Repair compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain clear service records and ticketing with the appropriate department.
• Provide on-site repairs and support across assigned sites.
• Drive company vehicle safely and perform related duties as assigned.
