Job summary

Climate Pros is seeking a Service Technician – Commercial Refrigeration to perform repair, maintenance, and inspection of supermarket refrigeration systems, walk-ins, and display cases. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and adherence to union work rules while delivering high-quality service.

On-site at customer locations across the Southeast and AR, the technician may travel between sites, complete preventive maintenance, and participate in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and refrigeration knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and schematics.
• Willingness to work variable shifts, overtime per union rules.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial refrigeration systems, including mechanical, electrical, and microprocessor components.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and leak detection.
• Provide professional service and thorough documentation of work orders (notes, photos, parts used).
• Follow safety protocols, lockout/tagout, and union jobsite requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and workspace; participate in rotating on-call schedules.
• Travel to job sites within the service area as required.
