Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• EPA certification.
• Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience required.
• Experience on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Must have a good driving record and be able to work independently.
• Emergency on-call availability is required.
• Must be able to lift to 60 lbs. and sit/stand for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul equipment (compressors, water pumps, air handlers, control devices) safely and efficiently.
• Perform general repair on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment (air conditioners, condensers, ice machines, pumps, furnaces, motors).
• Provide preventative maintenance by diagnosing malfunctions and deficiencies.
• Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical/mechanical skills.
• Maintain legible records of work history.
• Process job tickets and work orders for the department.
• Assist with picking up, delivering, and installing cases.
• Work on minor construction and startup of new installations.
• Drive company vehicle safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
