Job summary

Refrigeration Systems Construction & Service Company and its partner MRC are seeking experienced commercial refrigeration service technicians able to troubleshoot in the field, communicate clearly with customers, and help keep critical systems operating safely and reliably.

You will join a team of trade professionals who understand commercial and industrial refrigeration, value strong workmanship, and support one another across a growing Western U.S. service footprint.

Qualifications

• Proven industrial field-service experience in commercial refrigeration.
• Hands-on refrigeration and HVAC experience are required.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel; on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC, chillers, boiler systems, refrigeration systems
• Diagnose issues involving compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, controls, VFDs, and related equipment
• Perform emergency service, leak response, preventive maintenance, system evaluations, and startup support
• Read and work from P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control drawings
• Communicate findings, repair needs, and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams
• Complete accurate field documentation and follow strong safety practices in every job
• Help customers reduce downtime, improve reliability, and keep refrigeration systems operating as they should

What We’re Looking For

• Proven industrial commercial field-service experience
• Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems and commercial HVAC required
• Strong troubleshooting skills and safe work habits
• Ability to work independently in the field while contributing to a professional team
• RETA CARO/CIRO, OSHA, EPA Universal, welding, controls, or electrical experience are valued, but practical field skill matters most
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and participate in on-call service as needed

We use a tiered hourly pay scale across RSCS and MRC for technician roles: Apprentice/Entry $20–$30 , Technician (Early-Career) $30–$40 , Journeyman (Mid-Level) $40–$50 , and Senior/Field Supervisor $50–$70 (top end reserved for highest-level Senior Ammonia Technicians and Field Supervisors). Starting pay is based on verified experience, certifications, and job scope (including on-call/travel as applicable) and may vary by location due to local market and cost of living; hiring managers set the final starting rate within the appropriate tier.
