Job summary

Refrigeration Systems Construction and Service in Sacramento, CA is seeking experienced commercial refrigeration service technicians who can troubleshoot field issues and keep critical systems operating safely.

You will join a team of trade professionals, read P&ID and schematics, perform preventive maintenance, emergency service, and travel as needed to support a Western U.S. service footprint.

Qualifications

• Must have field-service experience with commercial refrigeration systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC, chillers, boiler systems, refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose issues with compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, controls, VFDs.
• Perform emergency service, leak response, preventive maintenance, and startup support.
• Read and work from P&IDs and schematics; communicate findings to customers and teams.
• Document field work accurately and follow safety practices on every job.
• Help customers reduce downtime and keep systems reliable.

RSCS and MRC arelooking for experienced commercial refrigeration service technicianswho know the trade, take pride in their work, and can perform in thefield when customers are counting on them.

This role is forskilled commercial refrigeration professionals with real field-service experience — technicians who can walk into a facility, troubleshoot the issue, communicate clearly with the customer,and help get critical systems operating safely and reliably again.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot,service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC, chillers, boiler systems, refrigeration systems
  
• Diagnose issuesinvolving compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves,controls, VFDs, and related equipment
  
• Perform emergencyservice, leak response, preventive maintenance, systemevaluations, and startup support
  
• Read and work fromP&IDs, electrical schematics, and control drawings
  
• Communicatefindings, repair needs, and recommendations clearly to customersand internal teams
  
• Complete accuratefield documentation and follow strong safety practices in every job
  
• Help customersreduce downtime, improve reliability, and keep refrigerationsystems operating as they should
  

What We’re Looking For

• Proven industrial commercial field-service experience
  
• Hands-onexperience with r efrigeration systems and commercial HVAC required
  
• Strongtroubleshooting skills and safe work habits
  
• Ability to workindependently in the field while contributing to a professional team
• RETA CARO/CIRO,OSHA, EPA Universal, welding, controls, or electrical experienceare valued, but practical field skill matters most
  
• Valid driver’slicense and willingness to travel and participate in on-callservice as needed

We use a tiered hourly payscale across RSCS and MRC for technician roles: Apprentice/Entry $20–$30 , Technician (Early-Career) $30–$40 , Journeyman (Mid-Level) $40–$50 , and Senior/Field Supervisor $50–$70 (top end reserved forhighest-level Senior Ammonia Technicians and Field Supervisors). Starting pay is based on verified experience,certifications, and job scope (including on-call/travel asapplicable) and may vary by location due to local market and cost ofliving; hiring managers set the final starting rate within theappropriate tier.
