We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join an established boutique law firm in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 4+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience who enjoys managing sophisticated transactions, working directly with clients, and being an integral part of a collaborative real estate practice.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience representing buyers, sellers, developers, investors, and other commercial real estate clients in complex acquisitions and dispositions. This role requires the ability to independently manage transactions from initial negotiation through closing while providing practical legal guidance and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, letters of intent, amendments, assignments, and related transaction documents.
- Independently manage transactions from initial negotiations through closing.
- Conduct and oversee due diligence, including title, survey, zoning, environmental, and property-related matters.
- Review and negotiate title commitments, title insurance policies, surveys, easements, restrictions, leases, and other real estate documents.
- Identify legal and business risks and provide practical solutions to clients.
- Work directly with clients, brokers, lenders, title companies, surveyors, consultants, and opposing counsel.
- Prepare and review closing documents and coordinate closing requirements.
- Assist with entity formation, organizational documents, and authority matters related to transactions.
- Provide strategic legal advice regarding transaction structure, risk allocation, and contractual obligations.
- Manage multiple transactions and deadlines while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and attention to detail.
- Mentor junior attorneys and support staff as appropriate.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Significant experience with commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, including purchase and sale agreements and related transaction documents.
- Experience with title and survey review, due diligence, and commercial real estate closings.
- Ability to independently manage complex transactions from beginning to end.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions while working collaboratively with attorneys and clients.
