Job summary

LPA is seeking candidates for an Associate - Commercial Real Estate Appraiser in our Houston office. Responsibilities include all aspects of real property valuation, including industry research, property inspections, financial models, and preparing appraisal reports.

The role offers exposure to a variety of property types and opportunities for growth, with a focus on analytical rigor, report quality, and collaboration with senior staff; candidates should have a bachelor's degree and 0–2 years’

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in finance, accounting, real estate, economics, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of professional experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent writing and report composition skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industry and market research and analysis
• Perform property inspections
• Develop financial models and valuation analyses
• Analyze property income and expense statements
• Prepare and compose appraisal and financial reports
• Assist with market research, feasibility studies, and valuation assignments
• Support senior appraisal staff on appraisal, consulting, and advisory assignments
• Work across a variety of commercial property types, including retail, office, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, special use, mixed use, development land, and going concern properties
