Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Property Adjuster to investigate commercial property claims, assess damages, and determine coverage. The role involves coordinating with consultants and independent adjusters, maintaining loss cost estimates, and ensuring timely, fair settlements.

While training is a critical component, attendance is mandatory, and candidates located in Northern Ohio are welcomed. Catastrophe duty may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of property insurance, commercial property claims, coverage evaluation, and reserves.
• Experience with claims investigation, loss assessment, evaluation and reserves, and financial analyses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prompt, thorough, and fair investigations to determine coverage, origin, and extent of loss.
• Engage and manage consultants and independent adjusters as required.
• Establish and maintain accurate loss cost estimates and reserves for each claim.
• Communicate clearly with insured and others about claim status and resolution.
• Negotiate settlements of varying complexity and perils to achieve fair outcomes.
• Maintain proper electronic claim documentation and participate in QA reviews.
