Job summary

RKS Plumbing & Mechanical Inc. is seeking a dedicated Plumbing Service Technician to join our growing team. You will work on a variety of residential and commercial systems, diagnosing and repairing components to ensure reliable operation.

Responsibilities include performing replacements or upgrades, maintaining service records, and communicating with clients and internal teams. A valid driver's license and willingness to be on call after hours are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing residential and commercial plumbing systems.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude; knowledge of electrical components, soldering, brazing, jetters, and sewer machines.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varied environments.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• On-call availability after hours, weekends, and holidays.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Plumbing Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key representative of RKS Plumbing & Mechanical Inc., responsible for maintaining the high standards of service and technical excellence our clients expect. You will work on a variety of residential & commercial systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Diagnosis: Expertly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing fixtures, piping, and drainage systems to ensure peak operational efficiency.
• System Maintenance: Perform professional replacements or upgrades of residential & commercial plumbing components as required by project needs.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service calls, preventative maintenance activities, and completed repairs.
• Fleet Management: Safely operate and maintain a company-provided service vehicle, ensuring it remains clean and properly stocked with necessary equipment.
• Professional Communication: Act as a primary point of contact, communicating effectively with customers, facility managers, and internal teams regarding system status and project updates.
• Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing residential & commercial plumbing systems.
• Licensing Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (Required).
• Skills Exceptional problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude with strong knowledge of electrical components, and experience with soldering, brazing, running jetters and sewer machines.
• Physical Ability to lift heavy equipment and work comfortably in varied physical environments.
• Professionalism Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Availability Willing to be on call after hours, weekends & holidays.

Additional Qualifications

• candidates must have knowledge working with high-efficiency water heaters, backflow preventers, and commercial sewage & storm pumps (lift stations).
