Job summary

Corvant is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. The role involves installing, inspecting, and maintaining piping systems across heating, water, drainage, and gas services.

Applicants must read blueprints, test systems for leaks, and participate in ongoing installations and repairs at mission-critical facilities. The position requires travel to job sites, adherence to plumbing codes, and collaboration with supervisors to complete projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• 5+ years of plumbing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test pipes, fittings, and fixtures per codes.
• Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as directed.
• Locate positions for connections and fixtures and read blueprints/specs.
• Plan, install, and service plumbing systems, piping, and controls; test for leaks.
• Receive and complete work orders; estimate material and labor; maintain records.

Plumbers are responsible for cutting, gluing, welding, and other installation means and methods for piping, fixtures, and other plumbing systems. Ensure quality control is applied & implemented for the operation of all plumbing systems. This position requires travel.

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
• Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders.
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
• Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, water softeners, etc.; install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
• Plan, install, and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, equipment, and controls; test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
• Receive and complete work orders.
• Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
• Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
• Work with supervisors to complete projects.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• 5 plus years of experience is required.

Physical Requirements

• Required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
• Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
