Job summary

Plumbers III perform pipe installation, repairs, and pressure testing, following codes and blueprints. This role requires travel and timely delivery, with a strong emphasis on quality control and project collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure-test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, drainage, and gas systems in accordance with specifications and plumbing codes.
• Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or per work orders.
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
• Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, etc.; install supports and hangers for pipes, fixtures, and equipment.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
• Plan, install, and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, equipment, and controls; test pipes for leaks.
• Receive and complete work orders.
• Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
• Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
• Work with supervisors to complete projects.

Plumbers III are responsible for cutting, gluing, welding, and other installation means and methods for piping, fixtures, and other plumbing systems. Ensure quality control is applied & implemented for the operation of all plumbing systems. This position requires travel.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• 7 plus years of experience is required.

Physical Requirements

• Required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
• Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
