B&I Contractors, Inc., a leading Florida mechanical contractor, seeks an experienced Plumber Journeyman to join our growing team. You will install and service commercial plumbing systems and work on large-scale projects with adherence to codes and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of hands-on commercial plumbing experience, reads blueprints, and can work independently while maintaining high quality. We offer a strong benefits package and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial plumbing installation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently without supervision.
• Must meet physical job demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of local, state, and national plumbing codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on installation of commercial plumbing systems (water supply, waste, vent, storm, specialized piping).
• Install fixtures, equipment, and related components per plans and codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plumbing systems as needed.
• Collaborate with project managers, other trades, and site supervisors to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national plumbing codes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hands‑on installation of commercial plumbing systems, including water supply, waste, vent, storm, and specialized piping systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience in commercial plumbing installations with 5 years minimum experience.
• Strong knowledge of all phases of commercial plumbing.
• Valid plumbing license or certification is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to meet job demands.
• Must have knowledge of local, state and national plumbing codes.
• This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment. Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury.
