Job summary

System One in Columbus, OH seeks a commercial plumber to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with building codes. You will review plans, read blueprints, and work with teams to ensure quality installations.

The role requires 3–5 years of plumbing experience in construction, strong code knowledge, and a flexible schedule. Benefits include a signing bonus after 12 months, health/dental/vision, retirement plan, and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Proven track record with 3–5 years plumbing experience in construction, equipment and OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to read and apply plumbing codes.
• Ability to read, understand specifications and blueprints.
• Ability to communicate and report effectively as required by customer or management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; instruct apprentices as needed.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and uneven terrain.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings or weekends as needed.
• Submit to drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components per building code and installation requirements.
• Review building plans and specifications.
• Identify required tools and special equipment.
• Identify required type and size of pipe.
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
• Install supports, hangers for pipes, fixtures and equipment.
• Assemble and install valves and fittings.
• Install water equipment, piping and controls.
• Install underground storm, sanitary and water piping systems.
• Install fixtures (sinks, tubs, toilets).
• Install water heaters.
• Test pipe systems and fixtures for stability.

• Direct Hire Position
• Pay: DOE, 36-46/hr
