Job summary

RQ Construction LLC is hiring several commercial Pipefitters to join our self-perform team for ongoing work at Naval Station Norfolk, VA. All work on the military base and paid at the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage for Naval Station Norfolk.

Local candidates within a reasonable commute are encouraged to apply. The role involves planning, assembling, and installing piping systems on an active commercial site, including underground piping and boiler/chiller start-up support, while adhering to code

Qualifications

• 4+ years journeyman-level pipefitting experience in commercial, industrial, or facilities operations settings.
• Hands-on mechanical pipe installation experience.
• Underground piping experience.
• Start-up and energizing experience (boilers, chillers).
• Current welding certification.
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA-10 certifications (training available).
• Valid pipefitter license or journeyman card (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan, assemble, and install piping systems on an active commercial construction site.
• Install mechanical piping, including underground piping.
• Support start-up and energizing of mechanical equipment such as boilers and chillers.

Our field operations teams live and work on location for each project. We specialize in fast-track new commercial construction for public and private clients, with a primary focus on the Department of Defense market.

We're hiring several commercial Pipefitters to join our self-perform team for ongoing work at Naval Station Norfolk, VA. What You'll Do

What You Bring
