Job summary

Firma de Reclutamiento en PR in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is seeking an experienced supervisor for the Commercial P&C underwriting team. You will provide leadership and guidance to underwriters and support staff, review and underwrite risks, and ensure service excellence for clients and carriers.

Role requires strong leadership, fluency in English and Spanish, and a deep understanding of Puerto Rico’s insurance market.

Qualifications

• Experience in Commercial Property & Casualty underwriting and team leadership.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Commercial P&C underwriting team.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to underwriting staff and team members.
• Review and underwrite commercial insurance risks in accordance with carrier guidelines.
• Oversee preparation, placement, and servicing of commercial accounts with insurance carriers.
• Maintain effective communication with producers, carriers, and clients.
• Monitor renewals, endorsements, and new business submissions.
• Ensure compliance with agency procedures, carrier requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and underwriting processes.
• Support the professional development and performance of team members.

• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, risk evaluation, and

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
• Professional insurance designation such as CIC, CISR, or related preferred.
• Knowledge of the Puerto Rico insurance market is highly desirable.
