GeneralProduce seeks a Commercial Night Driver based in the Redding area. You’ll start in Redding, pick up a load in Sacramento, then return to Redding for distribution to customers by morning.

This full-time night shift runs Sunday-Thursday, 6PM–2:30AM, with steady miles and minimal customer deliveries. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid leave, and an employee discount program.

Qualifications

• Age 21+ required.
• Valid California Class A CDL with air brake and doubles endorsements; no interstate restrictions.

As aCommercial Night Driver,you’ll play a key role in keeping our operation moving while the city sleeps. Key Commercial Night Driver Job Responsibilities

• Schedule:Full time, Sunday-Thursdaywork week, 6PM - 2:30AM shift.
• Transfer & Delivery:Transfer product from Redding yard to our Sacramento facility& make a few deliveries on the way back.
• Order Verification & Documentation:Check, verify, and record delivery information and maintain accurate sales records.
• Loading & Unloading:Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring products are handled and stored properly.
• Problem Resolution:Coordinate with office staff to resolve delivery or service issues promptly.
• Returns:Collect returns, empty containers, or unsold items as needed.
• Vehicle Maintenance:Clean truck interiors, perform routine inspections, and complete minor maintenance tasks to ensure safe operation.

QualificationsCommercial Driver Qualifications

• Age (Required):Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Licensing (Required):Valid California Class A Commercial Driver License, air brake and doubles endorsements, and no interstate restrictions. Must have adriving record that meets company and DOT standards (i.e. no DUIs, etc.).
• Experience:At least 1 year of commercial driving experience required, experience travelling insnow/using chains preferred. Prior work in produce/food distributionis a plus.
• Navigation Skills:Able to read maps, follow routes, and make timely deliveries.
• Technology:Comfortable using smartphones or delivery apps for routing and communication.
• Communication:Basic English reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Commercial Driver Physical Demands

• Regularly lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Sit for long periods of time, while driving, stoop, stand, kneel, crouch, push and pull.
• Possess vision abilities to include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to hear.
