Millwork Senior Estimator/Project Manager

Architectural millwork company located in Orlando, Florida. We specialize in large millwork projects and are currently looking to add a Commercial Senior Estimator/Project Manager to join our expanding team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating as well as managing and tracking multiple concurrent commercial millwork projects, including the installation process. This individual will be extremely familiar with reading architectural drawings, interior design drawings and millwork shop drawings.

Essential Responsibilities and Skills include:

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
• Prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of scope of work
• Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimating figures, including accurate information on prices from suppliers
• Identify and find ways to mitigate project risks
• Communicate with vendors in support of quotations
• May review design options and recommend best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials
• Track and update status of all proposals
• Assist project managers with handoffs of awarded projects and preconstruction coordination
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, architects, and suppliers
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to motivate, lead, and boost morale of the teams
• Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
• Capacity to handle pressure and oversee multiple projects
• Ability to work independently; Self-starter with hands-on approach

• Experience analyzing job specifications, reading blueprints and calculating take off of materials needed for casework and custom millwork items
• 5-10+ years of Estimating experience and knowledge of constructions materials and methods
