Friedman Real Estate LLC in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Commercial Maintenance Technician to oversee operation, inspection, and repair of building systems at the Plymouth Corporate Center. The role covers mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety systems, with on-call rotations for emergencies.

You will perform preventative maintenance, document findings, read blueprints, and coordinate with tenants, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of four years of related maintenance experience or trade school training.
Working knowledge of commercial plant equipment including elevators, chillers, and boilers.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proficiency with testing equipment such as analog and digital multimeters, pressure and temperature monitoring devices.
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety systems.
Inspect building systems regularly and document findings in logs and reports.
Respond to tenant service requests and work orders promptly.
Operate, monitor, and adjust fire alarm and life-safety systems as needed.
Participate in on-call schedule and after-hours emergencies.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
