Job summary

Summit Access & Security in the New York City metropolitan area is seeking a full-time Locksmith to install, repair, and maintain locks, master key systems, and related hardware for commercial and institutional clients. You will diagnose lock and door issues, perform rekeying and key duplication, and ensure accessibility and security requirements are met.

Qualifications

Proficiency in locksmithing, including lock installation and rekeying.
Experience with maintenance and repair of doors and security hardware.
Welding and millwork experience for hardware modifications.
Knowledge of access control systems (card readers, keypads).
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the New York City Metropolitan Area.
Trade certification or locksmith training preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain locks and master key systems for commercial and institutional clients.
Diagnose lock and door issues, perform rekeying and key duplication, adjust hardware.
Support preventative maintenance programs and small millwork tasks.
Collaborate with technicians and project managers to complete installations safely.
Travel to client locations within the region and participate in after-hours or emergency service rotations.
