Job summary

A-1 Locksmith & Security Center in Phoenix, AZ is hiring an early-career field technician to learn commercial locksmithing and access/security installations. You will be trained hands-on, complete a structured apprenticeship, and advance through qualifications while serving commercial customers across the Phoenix metro area.

Normal hours are Monday–Friday with overtime as needed. Starting pay is $17.00/hour and increases to $20.00/hour after completing the apprenticeship requirements; a formal

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and learn mobile job software.
• Willingness to complete the apprenticeship and qualification process.
• Able to perform field work including ladders, kneeling, overhead tasks.

Responsibilities

• Learn commercial locksmithing, rekeying, key control, and door hardware.
• Assist qualified technicians with electrified locks and access-control installations.
• Document conditions, work performed, and next steps using mobile software.
• Keep keys, master-key materials, credentials, tools, and work areas secure.
• Travel to commercial sites across the Phoenix metro area.
• Communicate with customers and dispatch, and participate in training and qualification path.
