A1 Garage Door Service is seeking an Installer in Phoenix to fit, install, and service residential garage doors. No prior garage door experience is required; comprehensive training is provided by our team to ensure you thrive in your market.

Apprenticeship runs in Phoenix with paid weeks, a $1,000 completion bonus, and growth to a junior installer. Starting pay is $36.75/hour with weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement within a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

• 21 years old and valid driver’s license (3+ years driving record)
• Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods
• Physically able to lift 75lbs, lift garage door panels above head
• Able to stand on ladder
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
• Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps and tablet/computer use
• GED or HS diploma not required, reading and basic math skills required
• Professional & approachable appearance
• Legal work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Install new garage doors for residential customers
• Remove existing door and mechanical parts
• Replace worn or broken door parts using tools
• Assemble mechanical parts
• Install springs, sections, slats, and hardware
• Run wiring to connect equipment
• Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning
• Educate customers on upgraded parts and services and ensure satisfaction
• Document activities related to installations
