Job summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. in Plano, TX, is seeking a Commercial Loan Participation & Syndication Specialist to join our team. You will handle participated and syndicated loans, perform bookings, notifications, and serve as the primary liaison with lead banks.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of participation and syndication processing experience, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. This role offers growth within a community-focused bank.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of participation and syndication processing experience required.
• SNIC processing and reporting preferred.
• Demonstrated agency-side experience.
• Able to review and comprehend complex legal documentation and lead bank notices to translate to loan accounting system.
• Technical training in computer systems, banking applications and lending.
• Must possess exceptional detail and organizational skills.
• Must possess excellent time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work closely with all levels of bank employees to create productive working relationships.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for participant and syndicate banks.
• Process monetary transactions as directed by lead banks.
• Process and notify participant and syndicate banks of disbursements, payments, and rate changes posting to loans within the required timeframe and manner of communication as outlined in loan documentation.
• Remit funds to participant and syndicate banks using bank wire software.
• Book all new and renewed participation and syndication loans in loan accounting software.
• Track and report SNIC loans.
• Create, update and maintain procedures and templates/forms for all tasks performed in this position.
• Assist with training additional team members to support this position.
• Assist with Commercial loan booking if/when the need and time/volumes permit.
• Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
