Job summary

Atlantic Community Bankers Bank (ACBB) seeks a Loan Review Analyst to join the Shatswell MacLeod team. The role supports independent loan review engagements for financial institutions nationwide and partners with management, staff, and clients to evaluate portfolios and ensure regulatory compliance.

The position focuses on risk assessment, quality of loan review reporting, and improving credit quality and portfolio performance across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of banking experience in loan review, commercial lending, credit analysis, or credit risk management.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending, underwriting, financial statement analysis, risk ratings, and banking regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent reviews of commercial loan portfolios.
• Evaluate credit quality, underwriting practices, risk ratings, covenant compliance, and policy adherence.
• Document findings, conclusions, and recommendations in accordance with loan review methodologies.
• Identify and communicate credit risk concerns, emerging portfolio trends, and opportunities for portfolio improvement.
• Support proposal, engagement setup, renewal, and post-review activities.
• Coordinate client documentation requests and communications throughout the loan review process.
• Track outstanding items and ensure timely completion of engagement milestones.
• Assist in preparing loan review reports, risk assessments, and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to support successful engagement outcomes.
• Review loan review staff workpapers and fieldwork for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
