Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in commercial loan processing or financial operations.
• Experience reviewing loan documents.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review and process commercial loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and other third parties to collect required documentation.
• Prepare and verify loan documents, including credit memos, approval memos, closing checklists, and funding packages.
• Order and track third-party reports (appraisals, UCC searches, insurance, etc.).
• Ensure loans are documented and boarded accurately into the core system.
• Monitor loans throughout the processing pipeline to meet internal deadlines and ensure a timely closing.
• Identify and escalation potential issues or missing items to ensure clean, compliant files.
• Maintain clear communication with internal team members and external stakeholders throughout the loan process.
• Assist in post-closing review and resolution of outstanding items.

Axos Bank Target Range: $25.00/Hr. - $30.46/Hr. Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education. Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 12.5% Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 12.5% These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job The Commercial Loan Processor plays a critical role in supporting the lending team by managing the documentation, coordination, and review required to ensure smooth and accurate loan processing. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with loan officers, underwriters, and other internal departments.
