About This Job The Servicing Manager both performs and oversees the day-to-day servicing of the company's equipment lease and loan portfolio. In addition to supervising and developing servicing staff, this role executes core servicing functions alongside the team, including daily funding releases, cash application and review, refund and payoff processing, and syndication support, and steps in as needed to ensure fundings, cash application, and other recurring servicing tasks are completed accurately and on time. The Servicing Manager sets team priorities, ensures adherence to procedures and deadlines, and serves as both a hands-on contributor and the escalation point for complex or nonstandard servicing issues. This position works closely with internal accounting and treasury partners, the company's third-party servicer, vendors, dealers, and syndication partners, and is accountable for the accuracy, timeliness, and overall quality of the team's servicing output. This role also identifies opportunities to apply AI-enabled tools and automation to servicing processes, and leads related initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy across the team. This position reports to the SVP of Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and release daily equipment lease/loan fundings alongside the team, ensuring required approval thresholds are met and funding deadlines and accuracy standards are achieved

  • Perform and oversee daily lockbox and ACH cash receipt review and cash application, researching and resolving variances and stepping in on complex items alongside the team

  • Enter and review daily cash activity across company bank accounts within the general ledger system, performing this work as volume and deadlines require

  • Research and resolve complex payment, contract rate, and account variances, and serve as the escalation point for issues identified by the team

  • Process and/or approve returned payment, refund, and payoff transactions, handling higher-complexity or exception items while reviewing team-processed items for accuracy

  • Maintain and review the advanced payment ledger and related suspense accounts, working in the ledger and managing the associated inbox alongside the team

  • Perform and oversee syndication support activities, including preparing fund transfers, tracking payoffs and clawbacks, and remitting late fees to syndication partners

  • Process and/or review monthly and quarterly vendor and dealer commission, billing, and revenue-sharing payments

  • Prepare and/or review recurring servicing reports, and handle audit confirmation requests as needed

  • Perform manual billing tasks for vendors requiring asset-level invoicing, providing backup support to the team as volume requires

  • Maintain and/or direct maintenance of contract, funding, and lockbox tracking spreadsheets and systems, identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency

  • Assign and prioritize team workload while handling a share of day-to-day servicing volume, including during peak periods or staff absences

  • Train, coach, and mentor servicing team members through direct, hands-on collaboration on daily servicing tasks

  • Identify, evaluate, and lead the adoption of AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline servicing tasks such as cash application, contract/variance review, and reporting, and train the team on their use

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu of a degree, 7–10 years of relevant financial services operations experience, including 2 or more years in a lead or supervisory capacity

  • Strong knowledge of equipment lease/loan servicing operations, including cash application, funding, and review processes within the commercial finance or leasing industry

  • Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, or coaching a servicing or operations team, including assigning work and managing performance

  • Proficiency with general ledger and financial systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced spreadsheet skills for tracking, reviewing, and reporting servicing activity

  • Familiarity with loan/lease servicing platforms, lockbox processing, and ACH/EFT payment handling

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, research, and resolve complex payment, contract, and account variances

  • Ability to manage a team's competing priorities and multiple recurring daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlines with a high degree of accuracy

  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal teams, the third-party servicer, vendors, dealers, and syndication partners

  • Working understanding of accounting and general ledger concepts as they relate to servicing transactions

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial, customer, and contract information
