Job summary

You will support a deal team, manage simple to semi-complex loans, and ensure accuracy of loan documents to minimize risk. This role requires solid knowledge of loan products and procedures, suitable for candidates with prior loan processing and customer service experience in commercial lending.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in banking, finance or lending is an asset.
• 3–4 years of experience in commercial lending documentation.
• 3–4 years of Loan Assistant I or comparable experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in tracking and management of the loan pipeline and maturities, ensuring timely processing.
• Prioritize tasks to meet processing goals and customer expectations.
• Provide back-up support to other Loan Assistants for PTO and absences.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal lending regulations and bank policies.
• Collect and organize necessary borrower documentation.
• Input data into loan processing systems accurately.
• Order title searches, UCC searches, appraisals and flood certifications.
• Coordinate closings with lenders, attorneys and clients.
• Initiate disbursement of closing funds and loan proceeds.
• Review closed loans for document completion and timely booking.
• Maintain post-closing documentation tickler and status reports.
