Job summary

Northrim Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Assistant at the Midtown Financial Center in Anchorage to support loan officers in processing and managing various loan types. You will generate documents, review filings, and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Commercial Loan Assistant I: 1 year clerical lending experience.
• Commercial Loan Assistant II: 2+ years in lending with CSI Runtime or LaserPro familiarity.
• Commercial Loan Assistant III: 4+ years in lending with complex loans (SBA, AIDEA or specialty).
• MS Office Suite proficiency and ability to adapt to new software tools.

Responsibilities

• Generate accurate loan documents for new loans, renewals and term changes.
• Review loan documents with loan officers and prepare for closings.
• Provide top-tier customer service and resolve client inquiries.
• Ensure documents are executed properly and collateral is secured.
• Disburse loan proceeds and handle post-closing tasks like imaging documents.

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Commercial Loan Assistant, you'll be the backbone of our lending team, supporting loan officers in processing and managing all types of loans. From generating loan documents to reviewing and perfecting collateral, you'll play a critical role in making sure our customers' financial needs are met with precision and efficiency. You’ll use automated software, collaborate with team members, and ensure compliance with Northrim Bank’s underwriting guidelines and regulations.

Your day-to-day will include:
Document Creation: Generate accurate loan documents using automated software for new loans, renewals, and term changes.
Collaboration: Work closely with loan officers, reviewing loan documents and preparing for loan closings.
Customer Focus: Provide top-tier customer service, resolving inquiries and ensuring smooth transactions for clients.
Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all documents are executed properly and all collateral is secured to protect Northrim Bank’s interests.
Post-Closing Duties: Disburse loan proceeds, process fees, and handle post-closing tasks like imaging loan documents.
Transactions: Handle wire transfers, loan payments, advance requests, and payoffs like a pro.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
We're looking for team players who are proactive, dependable, and eager to learn! Here's what we’re hoping to find:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience:

  • Commercial Loan Assistant I: At least 1 year of clerical experience in a lending environment.

  • Commercial Loan Assistant II: 2+ years of experience in lending or loan operations, plus familiarity with loan documentation software like CSI Runtime or LaserPro.

  • Commercial Loan Assistant III: 4+ years in lending with experience in complex commercial loans, SBA, AIDEA, or specialty loans.

• Tech-Savvy: Must be comfortable using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and adapting to new software tools.

• Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze and make decisions independently.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy are a must!

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
