The Commercial Loan Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to Loan Officers by gathering necessary documentation, preparing loan packages, and coordinating with other departments ensuring compliance with banking regulations while assisting with all aspects of the commercial lending process.

Responsibilities:

• Loan Application Support: Collect and organize borrower documentation including financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, and property appraisals, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Data Entry and File Management: Input loan data into the loan origination system, maintain loan files, and update applicable tracking spreadsheets.
• Loan Closing Coordination: Assist with loan closing, coordinate with title companies, attorneys, and borrowers to schedule closing details and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Post-Closing Activities: Process loan disbursements, update loan records, and monitor loan compliance with covenants and collateral requirements.
• Customer Service: Answer client inquiries regarding loan status, provide updates on loan applications, and address any concerns.
• Compliance: Adhere to all banking regulations and lending policies related to commercial loan origination and servicing.
• Administrative Tasks: Prepare correspondence, schedule appointments, maintain customer contact information, and handle general office duties.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 or more years of prior banking or financial service experience required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and document review.
