The role supports attorneys through litigation, including trial preparation and courtroom proceedings, with a focus on commercial, business, or civil matters.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience (7–10+ preferred), hands-on trial involvement, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience with 7–10+ years preferred.
• Experience in commercial/business/civil litigation and trial involvement.
• Prior hands-on trial preparation and support.
• Strong knowledge of court procedures, discovery, deadlines and filings.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently with attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys handling commercial and civil litigation matters.
• Assist through all phases: case prep, discovery, trial, post-trial.
• Prepare and organize pleadings, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, exhibits.
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial schedules.
• Manage case files, calendars, deadlines, and court filings.
• Assist with trial prep, including exhibit organization and courtroom logistics.
• Provide direct support to attorneys during trials and court proceedings.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel and others.

A well established San Antonio law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join its legal team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys litigation, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has strong experience supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process, including trial preparation and courtroom proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial litigation, business litigation, or civil litigation, along with hands on trial experience.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys handling commercial litigation, business disputes, contract disputes, and other complex civil litigation matters.
• Assist with all phases of litigation, from initial case preparation through discovery, trial, and post trial proceedings.
• Prepare and organize pleadings, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, exhibits, and other legal documents.
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial schedules.
• Manage case files, litigation calendars, deadlines, and court filings.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness preparation, trial binders, and courtroom logistics.
• Provide direct support to attorneys during trials and court proceedings.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other legal professionals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, with 7 to10 or more years preferred.
• Experience in commercial litigation, business litigation, contract disputes, or complex civil litigation.
• Prior trial experience is required, including hands on involvement in trial preparation and support.
• Strong understanding of court procedures, discovery, litigation deadlines, and filing requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys in a collaborative legal environment.
• Paralegal certification or formal paralegal education is a plus.
