Job summary

Frontline Source Group in Houston, TX seeks a Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support for sophisticated matters on a direct-hire, onsite basis.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience supporting commercial litigation attorneys, strong document formatting and proofreading skills, and excellent time management. Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of court filing procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of legal assistant experience supporting commercial litigation attorneys required.
• Strong knowledge of Texas state and federal court filing procedures.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously.
• Excellent document formatting and proofreading skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast paced legal environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal documents such as pleadings and motions.
• Electronically file documents in Texas state and federal courts.
• Maintain attorney calendars and schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings.
• Coordinate service of process and assist with litigation deadlines.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Assist with document production, exhibits, trial notebooks, and hearing prep.
• Enter attorney time and assist with expense reports.
