Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a seasoned Commercial Litigation Attorney in Baltimore, MD to handle complex business disputes from inception to resolution. The role emphasizes independent case management, litigation strategy, and client relationship building.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, Maryland bar status (or waiver), and strong pleadings, motions, and discovery skills. Hybrid work arrangement and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Maryland bar admission or ability to waive into Maryland Bar.
• 5+ years of commercial or business litigation experience.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload from start to finish.
• Strong experience handling pleadings, motions, written discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
• Experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
• Proven legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial litigation matters from intake through trial, settlement, arbitration, or other resolution.
• Represent businesses, executives, owners, and entrepreneurs in complex commercial disputes.
• Develop case strategy and provide practical legal counsel to clients throughout all phases of litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, witness preparation, and fact investigations.
• Handle discovery management, document review, and e-discovery coordination.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with courtroom advocacy as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status, risk assessment, and litigation strategy.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex business litigation matters while maintaining primary responsibility for assigned cases.
• Generate and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the commercial litigation practice.
