Our respected law firm client is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience to join its growing team in Torrance, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and wants meaningful courtroom experience, direct client interaction, and exposure to complex business disputes.

This role will work alongside experienced litigators and legal professionals representing businesses in commercial litigation, dispute resolution proceedings, and related matters across state and federal courts.

What You’ll Do

• Manage commercial litigation and dispute‑resolution matters from inception through resolution
• Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic case updates
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions nationwide, including travel as needed
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Argue discovery, contested, and dispositive motions
• Conduct witness interviews, fact investigations, and document analysis
• Perform legal research and prepare persuasive legal memoranda
• Support and participate in trials, arbitrations, mediations, and evidentiary hearings
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on litigation strategy and case management
• Deliver responsive, professional client service while managing multiple deadlines

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm environment
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Experience in both California state and federal courts
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Salary Range: $150,000–$170,000 annually
