Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group's client, an AmLaw 200 firm, seeks an Associate Attorney with substantial commercial litigation experience to join its Florham Park, New Jersey office, supporting its Metropolitan New York practice. This role offers exposure to sophisticated matters without a daily Manhattan commute.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of relevant experience, NJ and NY bar admission, and strong research, writing, and client-service skills, with a preference for law review and clerkship

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in New Jersey and New York, in good standing.
• 4-6 years of substantive commercial litigation experience.
• Federal or state judicial clerkship strongly preferred.
• Law review/journal experience preferred.
• Experience with complex insurance coverage litigation a plus, but not required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage complex matters, work collaboratively within a team, and operate independently on client assignments.
• Outstanding communication skills and a strong commitment to client service.

Responsibilities

• Handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts across New Jersey and New York.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings as experience allows.
• Support all phases of case management, including strategy development and trial preparation.
• Work closely with senior litigators on complex disputes with high-profile clients.
