Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate for its Short Hills, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of complex litigation experience, with a focus on insurance coverage disputes, and will work collaboratively with partners and clients to manage cases from inception through appeal.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills, plus experience handling deposits and court proceedings in a law firm

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of complex litigation experience.
• Strong writing and case management skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy skills.
• Experience handling clients and adversaries.
• Deposition and court experience preferred.
• Previous law firm experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with insurance coverage litigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through trial and appeal.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda.
• Prepare briefs, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Handle discovery processes, including documents, written discovery, and depositions.
• Collaborate with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counsel.
• Analyze insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, drafting coverage opinions and related analyses.
