A prestigious large law firm in Portland, OR seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Litigation Practice Group. You will work on sophisticated disputes for local, national, and international clients in state and federal courts.

Candidates should have 4–6 years of commercial litigation experience, a JD from a top-tier law school, and Oregon bar admission. This on-site, full-time role offers significant responsibility and growth opportunities within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Oregon, in good standing, or the ability to waive in.
• 4–6 years of substantive experience in commercial litigation.
• Litigation experience: drafting, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances for complex business disputes.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters effectively.
• Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, prepare discovery, and manage motion practice in high-stakes litigation.
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
• Work directly with clients to provide practical, business-oriented legal counsel.
• Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including fact development, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
• Develop case strategies and collaborate with partners on high-stakes disputes.
