Job summary

Jobot, a respected Tampa-based business law firm, seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate to handle complex disputes across construction, contracts, and business litigation. You will collaborate with experienced attorneys and manage cases from pleadings through trial, while guiding clients on risk and compliance.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida bar admission; regional licensure a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation; construction exposure a plus.
• Strong academic credentials and demonstrated litigation experience.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, construction, and high-exposure matters.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Assist clients in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), including mediation and arbitration.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and legal documents.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy and drive matters toward resolution.
• Provide proactive legal guidance on risk management, compliance, and dispute avoidance.
• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively on case developments.
