Offit Kurman is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing litigation practice in New Jersey. You will handle sophisticated matters alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in lender-side foreclosures, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, loan workouts, and real estate disputes, with excellent research, writing, and client-service skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle substantive aspects of litigation, including legal research and analysis.
• Draft pleadings and motions, manage discovery, and communicate with clients and opposing counsel.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial litigation background, with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Lender-side foreclosures
• Bankruptcy and creditors’ rights
• Loan workouts and restructurings
• Real estate litigation
• General commercial and business disputes

Candidates should have experience handling substantive aspects of litigation, including legal research and analysis, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, and assisting with matters through resolution.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively with a team
