Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney in Chicago to handle complex commercial disputes for regional, national, and global clients. This on-site/hybrid role offers meaningful responsibility and direct exposure to senior practitioners within a leading Am Law 200 platform.

You will draft pleadings and motions, manage discovery and e‑discovery, take depositions, and develop case strategy with experienced litigators.

Qualifications

• Illinois Bar admission and eligibility to practice.
• 3–7 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience managing discovery and substantive motion practice.
• Deposition experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial and business litigation in state and federal courts.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, discovery requests and other substantive filings.
• Manage written discovery, document production and e-discovery.
• Take and defend depositions and work with expert witnesses.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trial preparation.
• Work directly with clients on case strategy, risk and resolution.
• Collaborate with experienced litigators on high‑value disputes.
