Job summary

Jobot is seeking a litigation associate with early-career experience handling complex business disputes. This role provides exposure to experienced litigators, opportunities to take on increasing responsibility, and involvement in all phases of the litigation process.

The successful candidate enjoys advocacy and thrives in a collaborative team and is eager to develop courtroom and client-facing skills. Requirements include an active license to practice law in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut,

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of commercial, business, or complex litigation experience.
• Experience drafting substantive motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Demonstrated interest in intellectual property disputes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of litigation from case inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other court filings
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests
• Take and defend depositions and assist with witness preparation
• Attend court appearances, conferences, hearings, and other proceedings
• Support trial preparation, including exhibit management and case strategy development
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on litigation and related disputes
• Manage day-to-day case responsibilities while maintaining strong client service standards
• Participate in strategic analysis and case evaluation efforts
