Buchanan is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Seattle office. You will handle a range of sophisticated matters for local, national, and international clients, gaining meaningful responsibility while working with a collaborative, high-performing team.

The ideal candidate has a J.D. from an accredited law school, 3–7 years of litigation experience, strong writing and research skills, and a Washington bar admission or ability to waive in.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 3–7 years of litigation experience gained at a law firm or through a judicial clerkship.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs in complex litigation matters.
• Active bar admission in Washington or the ability to waive into the jurisdiction.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts.

The successful candidate will work on a wide range of complex litigation matters for local, national, and international clients across multiple industries.
