A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to client service, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to manage complex litigation and investigations effectively.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of disputes from inception through trial and appeal.
- Appear and argue in state and federal trial and appellate courts.
- Take and defend depositions, working with witnesses and experts.
- Draft and prepare trial court, arbitration, and appellate briefs, pleadings, and motions.
- Conduct legal research and write memoranda.
- Oversee complex disputes, including discovery and document review.
- Support business development and other litigation-related matters.
Requirements
- 3-7 years of complex commercial litigation experience.
- Strong litigation skills, including legal writing and case management.
- Deposition and court experience preferred.
- Previous law firm experience strongly preferred.
- Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus.
- Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in Hawaii.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
