We are seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate to join our Texas team in Austin, Dallas, or Houston. This role is ideal for a lawyer with 3–8 years of litigation experience, or equivalent clerkship experience, who is ready to take on meaningful responsibility in sophisticated commercial disputes and build a long-term career.

What You Bring

You bring strong legal judgment, initiative, and a genuine commitment to litigation. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent legal research and persuasive writing skills;
  • A self-starting work ethic and strong ownership of assignments;
  • The ability to help develop and execute case strategy, with guidance, from the outset of a matter through its resolution;
  • Deposition and courtroom experience; and
  • A demonstrated passion for litigation.

Experience with labor and employment matters is preferred, but not required. Candidates must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted in Texas.

Why P&A

We offer something that is rare: a national practice with the collaborative feel of a team where your contributions make a real difference.

  • National reach, high-stakes work. As a go-to authority in construction law, the firm handles complex, high-profile disputes across the country, giving you exposure to matters and clients well beyond a typical regional practice.
  • An elite training ground. You will collaborate closely with senior attorneys, contribute to case strategy, take depositions, manage matters, and work directly with clients, building sophisticated skills faster than you would elsewhere.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture. Initiative is valued here. Our associates are treated as contributors to the firm’s success, not just billable hours.
  • Real investment in your business development. The firm actively supports associates in building their professional profiles and client relationships, with marketing and business development resources that help you grow a practice of your own.
  • A sustainable career. We take quality of life seriously. This is a place to build a long-term career, not burn out.
What We Offer

P&A provides a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), FSA/HSA options, and other benefits. Equally important, you will gain mentorship, national practice exposure, business development support, and a clear trajectory for career growth.
