Job summary

Larson Maddox represents a prominent Atlanta client seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate to handle sophisticated matters across a broad range of practice areas, including commercial disputes, insurance coverage litigation, class actions, and construction-related matters.

The ideal candidate will manage litigation from inception through resolution and take on significant responsibility in a collaborative, client-focused environment. Active Georgia Bar admission is required.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in commercial litigation, insurance coverage litigation, construction litigation, or related practice area.
• Prior law firm experience required.
• Experience handling matters through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Experience drafting insurance coverage opinions is a plus.
• Federal and state court experience preferred.
• Active admission to the Georgia Bar required.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Handle insurance coverage analysis, coverage disputes, and bad faith litigation.
• Defend and prosecute class action matters.
• Manage a diverse caseload including breach of contract, business torts, fiduciary duty, partnership and shareholder disputes, construction litigation, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, real estate disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, insurance coverage opinions, and other legal filings.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Take and defend depositions, participate in hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Work directly with clients and opposing counsel throughout all phases of litigation.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Handle insurance coverage analysis, coverage disputes, and bad faith litigation.
• Defend and prosecute class action matters.
• Manage a diverse caseload involving; Breach of contract disputes, Business torts, Fiduciary duty claims, Partnership and shareholder disputes, Construction litigation, Trade secret and restrictive covenant matters, Real estate disputes
• Other complex commercial litigation matters
