Duties & Responsibilities

Personnel Management:

Coach, train, and mentor commercial underwriters and underwriting managers. Foster a strong culture that centers on teamwork, shared goals, engagement, and accountability.

Underwriting:

Implement strategies that attract good business opportunities. Drive profitability growth and partner closely with agencies and vendors to promote the company's products and services to achieve profitability. Evaluate market trends and seek out opportunities to increase market share.

Operations:

Monitor underwriting processes and procedures for consistency and in line with best practices and regulatory guidelines. Closely partner with claims, product development, and sales to optimize underwriting performance.
