Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Austin seeks an Account Manager to manage and coordinate service activities for commercial lines clients. You will be the primary contact, develop and maintain strong client relationships, understand and present insurance options, and implement programs while aiming for high retention.

You will respond to client and carrier requests, manage renewals, negotiate coverage within underwriting guidelines, prepare proposals, assist with claims reporting, and ensure timely

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a Commercial Property & Casualty insurance agency.
• Must hold Property and Casualty insurance license.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the client relationship, account retention, and developing a comprehensive and competitive insurance program.
• Inform and educate clients on policy changes, exclusions, coverages, and industry trends.
• Respond to client and carrier requests within agreed timeframes.
• Manage renewal workflow for assigned book of business, avoiding lapses.
• Negotiate renewal and/or new line of coverage within underwriting guidelines.
• Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance as needed.
• Assist clients with claims reporting.
• Adhere to invoicing and collections policies and pursue prompt payments.
• Manage client accounts per USI guidelines and KPIs.
• Stay current on industry information, technology, and trends.
