Commercial Lines Account Manager - Remote Position

Full Time or Part Time Positions Available

Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of all lines of commercial insurance, including sophisticated and less common coverages, especially those products represented through the agency.
  • Thorough understanding of brokerage operations, including claims handling, commercial lines rating, agency management systems, and applicable insurance laws and codes.
  • Proficiency in operating in electronic environments with excellent automation skills, including MIS, Outlook, Word, Excel, document management software, carrier proprietary systems, and phone systems.
  • Familiarity with risk management concepts.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and develop relationships with clients and staff.
  • High self-motivation and self-direction.
Duties
  • Support producers’ sales efforts by developing complete submissions for new and renewal business and obtaining quotes following agency marketing procedures.
  • Perform annual reviews and risk exposure analyses of renewal policies to ensure proper coverage, using information from clients and producers.
  • Maintain MIS client files, ensuring all policies, endorsements, invoices, binders, certificates of insurance, and related activities are properly documented according to agency procedures and timelines.
  • Manage renewal expiration lists, binders, audits, and aged receivables in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Respond to client inquiries, emails, mail, and company requests per agency standards.
  • Review all processing items to confirm receipt and accuracy; prepare billing in line with agency’s credit and collections policies.
  • Participate in courses to enhance insurance and sales skills. Keep current with underwriting requirements, industry trends, and carrier updates.
  • Engage in special projects as requested by management.
