Job summary

Cross Insurance seeks an Account Manager to service clients and prospects, maintain strong relationships with customers and underwriters, and support renewals and new business submissions. You will follow workflow manuals, visit clients as needed, and assist in increasing coverage where appropriate.

The role requires technical knowledge of commercial lines, excellent communication, and the ability to manage daily agency operations and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in insurance account management.
• Ability to solicit increased coverage and cross-sell.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lines coverages.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Servicing clients and prospects while maintaining strong relationships with customers, underwriters and professionals.
• Follow timelines and internal workflows; coordinate with Producer/AE monthly.
• Solicit increases in coverage and round out accounts.
• Prepare renewal and new business submissions and proposals.
• Provide clear instructions for policy issuance and renewal processing.
• Respond to underwriting requests and assist with audits and documentation.

We need your talent and expertise.Account Managers are primarily responsible for servicing clients/prospects, while creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, underwriters and other professionals.Duties of an Account Manager include, but are not limited to :Follow Commercial Lines timeline, adhere to Cross Procedure Manual and Master Commercial Lines Workflow ManualMeet with Producer/Account Executive monthly to review marketing instructions.Visit clients as necessaryAssist in soliciting increases in coverage (round out accounts)Have technical knowledge of insurance coverages & products to advise clientsUnderstand the daily business operations and exposures of our customersCollect applications and underwriting information from Producer/AE and/or Client and Prospects as necessary to market new and renewal policiesPrepare Annual Review Kits and ProposalsPrepare Renewal and New business submissions and proposalsFollow-up with underwriters for the timely receipt of quotesRespond to requests from underwriters.Invoice for prompt payment of agency bill invoicesCreate new policy issuance instructions, quote instructions and renewal instructions for insurance company.Produce initial binders for Renewal and New AccountsProvide clear concise instructions for processing new and renewal policiesAdd Master COIs & EPIs on Renewal and New BusinessRespond to customer inquiries including coverage questions, requests for documentation with or without direction of the Producer/AEFacilitate audit disputesThe base salary range for this role is $65,000-$85,000 . Actual compensation will be based on factors including location, skills, experience, and internal equity.
