GENERAL FUNCTION:

Manage Sales Team Leads to ensure the department advances the company's ability to excel in Commercial Banking results. Typically utilized in large affiliates. Commercial Line of Business Managers are expected to solicit participation in the public debt issuance of their clients. Current policy limits participation to those clients that have 'investment grade' credit ratings.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensuring actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the bank's risk appetite, achieve results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Oversee all credit and non-credit relationships and prospective opportunities with clients housed within the cost center.
  2. Expand product, market, and sales depth to deliver revenue and net income growth. Maintain acceptable profitability levels with every customer.
  3. Maintain primary relationship contact for a portfolio of existing customers.
  4. Ensure the overall relationship is managed to the highest profit potential for the bank.
  5. Maintain acceptable customer satisfaction through providing superior customer service.
  6. Identify and facilitate cross-selling efforts of all the bank's services, focusing on the origination and growth of both collected DDA balances and business service charges.
  7. Underwrite credit requests and approve loans within established lending limits or recommend on loans requiring higher approval authority.
  8. Monitor customer performance, abilities, and industry to determine loan risk.
  9. Ensure proper reporting, documentation, and review to assess loan risk.
  10. Participate in community affairs and projects to promote the bank's image.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide employees with timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback. Develop employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities for growth. Identify and develop talent to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning. Recognize and reward employee accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7-12 years experience in Lending Sales Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated sales and negotiating experience.
  • Credit training and underwriting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
