Job summary

C&O Sales seeks a detail-oriented Lighting Quotations Specialist to prepare accurate, competitive quotes for electrical distributors and contractors. You will combine technical product knowledge with strategic pricing and collaborate with sales, controls, and manufacturer partners to help secure projects.

You will review requests, perform lighting takeoffs, develop BOMs, and ensure bids meet deadlines while maintaining clear communication with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

C&O Sales is seeking a detail-oriented Lighting Quotations Specialist to prepare accurate, competitive quotes for electrical distributors and contractors. This role combines technical product knowledge, strategic pricing, and collaboration with sales, controls, and manufacturer partners to help secure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review incoming quote requests, plans, and specifications; obtain missing information and maintain organized project records in Oasis.
• Perform lighting takeoffs using Bluebeam, develop bills of materials, and identify suitable product alternatives.
• Obtain manufacturer pricing and coordinate complete lighting and controls packages.
• Evaluate bid opportunities, develop competitive pricing strategies, and recommend value engineering options.
• Meet bid deadlines and communicate clearly with customers, manufacturers, and internal teams.
• Track active bids, follow up on opportunities, and document results and customer feedback.
• Review awarded purchase orders and submittals against final quotes, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate handoff to order entry.
• Stay current on manufacturer products, pricing, availability, and market trends.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Working knowledge of lighting products, specifications, and controls integration.
• Ability to read and interpret lighting schedules, construction plans, and specifications.
